Documentation

These pages are the language itself — what you can write, and what it means. They assume you have a program running already; if you don't, the tutorials start with a blinking light and tell you what to install along the way.

Start here

Getting Started — a whole program, from entrypoint to the line that runs, and the shape every Nylon file takes.

The language

Bindings — let and var, and which to reach for.

Basic Types — the integers and floats, boolean, string, and what converts to what.

Control Flow — if, elif, else and match.

Loops — for and while, ranges, and the counted form.

Functions and Lambdas — declaring them, calling them, and passing them around.

Classes — classes and objects, constructors, and members.

Traits and Enums — the two ways a type says what it is.

Collections — arrays and the operations over them.

Not here

The hardware. Pins, motors, serial lines and gamepads are libraries, not language — they live in the tutorials, and Boards says which ones run today.

Getting a board going. Download has what you need on your computer and on the board.
